There are various ways online learning works in, some of the most popular methods are described below.
  • Everything online - there are no face to face meetings
  • Mixed mode - partially online and partially face to face

  • Asynchronous
  • Group based learning - An instructor guides the gorup
  • Own learning, self study as it is called is done by the students themselves online
  • Own learning along with a subject expert who guides the student every step of the way
  • Internet based learning purely using quick searches and videos etc.
  • Using CD/DVD for learning based on matter stored on CD
